Our wooden mallets for the Electric Rekongas are all hand-dipped and coated in rubber. We hand dip the electric Rekonga mallets to get just the right amount of rubber coating to help perfectly balance the mallet as well as help protect the edges of the Rekonga drum.
The tips are made of pure gum-rubber--so that the only sound reflected is the natural echo from the Rekonga.
